Electrochemical immunosensing of Growth arrest‐specific 6 in human plasma and tumor cell secretomes

Growth arrest-specific 6 (GAS6) protein plays a key role in processes related to proliferation, inflammation, angiogenesis, and atherosclerotic plaque formation. In addition, it has been reported that plasma levels of GAS6 are cancer prognosis other relevant pathologies, such as heart failure or sepsis. We report here the first electrochemical immunoplatform for determination GAS6, which demonstrated be competitive with available methodologies terms cost, simplicity, decentralized application. The developed involves sandwich immunoassay using magnetic microparticles (MBs) uses amperometric detection at disposable screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs). MBs were modified an antibody specific its selective capture, is further recognized by biotinylated secondary subsequently labeled streptavidin-horseradish peroxidase (Strep-HRP) conjugate. was carried out hydroquinone (HQ)/H2O2 system. bioplatform exhibits great selectivity low limit (27 pg/mL) allowed circulating level samples from patients suffering (HF) diagnosed pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), well target raw secretomes human colorectal cell lines.
